Logitech Harmony Link delivers more than just a personalized program guide to iPad users. By leveraging Logitech Harmony technology, it offers the activity- and device-based control provided by the award-winning line of Logitech Harmony Advanced Universal Remotes. Just select what you want to do, such as "Watch a Movie" or "Listen to Music," and Harmony Link automatically switches your devices to the right settings - meaning you won't be fumbling with multiple remotes or manually switching inputs anymore.
Control from Your iPad
The Logitech Harmony Link connects to your existing home wireless network to receive Wi-Fi signals from the Harmony Link App and turns them into IR commands that home-entertainment devices can understand. Harmony Link can control up to eight devices, is compact (about the size of a hockey puck) and was designed to integrate neatly and discreetly with your home entertainment system. Harmony Link includes an IR mini-blaster accessory so you can control entertainment devices both inside and outside of a closed entertainment cabinet.

Pricing and Availability
The Logitech Harmony Link is expected to be available in the U.S. in October for a suggested retail price of $99.99. The Harmony Link App for iOS tablets and smartphones and the Harmony Link App for Android smartphones are expected to be available as free downloads in October from the iTunes App Store and Android Market, respectively.

Ganz interessant

Aber mir würden Hardkeys echt fehlen, und myharmony.com geht ja mal gar nicht

Ich würde mir eine Testapp wünschen, mit den Programminfos wäre es eine interessante Sache

Genial - das ist genau das, worauf ich seitdem ich ein Android Gerät habe, warte.

Jetzt noch eine Unterstützung für Android Tablets und ich kann die Harmony 1000 abgeben.

Interessant wäre nur, ob das System diejenigen Geräte, die per WLAN/LAN gesteuert werden, per WLAN/LAN steuert oder ob nur Infrarot unterstützt wird.

So hätte man zumindest für einzelne Geräte, die sich jetzt schon per App bedienen lassen eine tolle Einbindung und gleichzeitig bidirektionale Steuerung.

Außerdem wäre es gut wenn sich andere Apps einbinden ließen (z.B. TV Programm oder Steuerung der Squeezebox).

Informationen wieviele IR Blaster angeschlossen werden können gibt es noch nicht oder?

Habe mir gerade die Fotos einmal angeschaut. Es werden offensichtlich nur 2 IR Blaster unterstützt.
Wobei noch ein zusätzlicher Aus/Eingang mit der Beschriftung A zu sehen ist. Vielleicht kann man da ja irgendwie erweitern.

Ich hätte dann evtl. eine Harmony 1100 + Extender abzugeben

warte nun schon seit eeeewigkeiten auf die Einführung der Harmony Link in D. Hat jemand infos ob die US Version auch in D funktioniert (abgesehen vom Netzstecker)? Gibts evtl. schon Erfahrungsberichte??

Hallo,

anscheinend hat es Logitech nicht eilig mit der Einführung in Europa, dieser Blog ist zwar nicht mehr ganz taufrisch, aber die Tendenz geht ganz klar auf's nächste Jahr hin. Schade, ist ein prima Gerät, und wäre im Weihnachtsgeschäft sicherlich super gelaufen. Und wie Ralf schon sagte, ohne Apps hilft auch ein US-Import nicht weiter. Der Market-Enabler hat mir beim Downloadversuch für Android auch nicht weitergeholfen.

Naja, also am App wirds nicht scheitern... für Android gibts ja x Quellen und für ios kann man sich, nach dem man sich einen Account erstellt hat, ohne weiteres am US-Store Anmelden.

Na dann steht einem US-Import ja nichts im Wege. Ich kann das Teil nur empfehlen, funktioniert prima, halt mit den myharmony.com Einschränkungen. Nutze es hauptsächlich um Squeezebox und AVR auschliesslich mit dem iPad zu bedienen. Ich nutze für die Musikauswahl iPeng, und nun kann ich auch die Geräte steuern ohne eine zusätzliche Fernbedienung.

Wenn ihr alle so Sehnsüchtig darauf wartet, warum schaut ihr euch nicht mal dieses Teil an.
Ich habe es jetzt seit einem Jahr zusätzlich zur 885.
Ich kann nur sagen, da kann Logitech sich eine Scheibe abschneiden. Regelmäßige Updates. Es wird gut auf Kundenwünsche eingegangen. Der Bildschirm lässt sich mittlerweile komplett nach eigenen Wünschen gestallten mit eigenen Bildern als Tasten u.s.w. Da sind der Kreativität keine Grenzen gesetzt. Das Teil lässt sich auch über das Web bedienen und es lassen sich Funktionen sogar in eigene Internetseiten einbinden.
Der einzige Nachteil ist, das der Support nur in Englisch erfolgt. Dafür aber schnell. Antwort innerhalb weniger Stunden und es wird solange auf einen eingegangen, bis alles läuft.
Davon habe ich bei Logitech lange geträumt.
Meine 885 wird nur noch von meiner Frau benutzt. Mein Sohn und ich benutzen als Fernbedienung nur noch unser IPhone und ich überlege jetzt, ob ich nicht einen IPod Touch kaufe und ihn als Fernbedienung zum Fernseher lege, damit meine Frau auch die RedEye benutzen kann.

PS. Funktioniert mit IPhone, IPod Touch, IPad, Android Handys und Tablets und jedem Rechner mit Internet Browser
